“The view was amazing, and the breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options, but unfortunately I didn’t enjoy the food much. Some of the fruits smelled like raw fish, which made us think they may have been cut with the same knife or prepared in the same area. We mainly came here to see the mountain, and for that purpose, it met our needs. Honestly, I’m not sure what to say about this hotel. It truly needs a major renovation. I’m sure it was one of the finest hotels of its time, but now it feels like it’s reached the point of becoming more of a historical landmark. Despite that, it’s still trying to keep going. The building and furniture definitely need to be updated. Also, they do not allow guests with tattoos to use the pool. Apparently, they still think even a non japanese woman with tattoos might be associated with the yakuza. 😅”
