“Unexpectedly, we were upgraded and provided with a suite. Four beds were excessive for an elderly couple, but we gratefully accepted the kind gesture. Thank you. Joking, we said it must have been a status match since we hold lifetime platinum in the Marriott programme. We have stayed at this hotel over fifty times in the past thirty years.The guests were predominantly of Chinese descent, mostly Taiwanese, so it wasn't noisy. The only disappointment was that the air conditioning in the main room was faulty, necessitating the use of an extra blanket. ”
