“This hotel has incredible potential to become a truly luxurious and unique destination. The island itself is beautiful, peaceful and full of charm. We really appreciated being away from the crowds, as it made for a relaxing and quiet stay. The rooms are spacious, the beds are very comfortable, and the overall atmosphere of staying on a private island is something quite special. Unfortunately, the actual guest experience falls far short of the hotel's potential. - The boat does not run as frequently as advertised on the website. In reality, it operates roughly once per hour, which makes getting to and from the island quite difficult but at the same time there is not much to do on the island. - The service throughout our stay was disappointing. The staff seemed indifferent and unmotivated, often giving the impression that helping guests was an inconvenience. It certainly wasn't the warm Italian hospitality we were used to. - There is no phone in the room to contact reception. If you need assistance, you have to walk all the way across the island to the reception desk. - There is no iron rental available. Considering the hotel hosts weddings and many guests are attending formal events (as we were), this seems like a basic amenity that should be provided. - We had requested a baby crib in advance but it was not in our room upon arrival. We were told we would have to wait until the following day because the housekeeping staff had already left. We even offered to collect the cot ourselves, but this was not allowed. - Breakfast was another disappointment. The selection was very limited, there were no fresh vegetables at all and items that ran out were not replenished. Guests arriving later in the breakfast service were left with very little choice. - The rooms are showing their age. Paint is peeling in multiple places, furniture and fittings feel worn and many things are loose or in need of maintenance. While the rooms are comfortable, they don't match the standard the property appears to aim for.”
