“The accomodation is just wonderful , the rooms are decorated simply with wonderful original artworks everywhere throughout the property. The hotel staff are welcoming and professional.The breakfast is very generous and many tastes are catered for ! The hotel is located right at the port and easy walk from the ferry and easy walk to the black sand beach The trek is worth the view at the top BUT … need to know facts …The volcano trek is very hard in the heat even though you don’t leave the town centre until 6pm … with the hike up 2.5 hrs … one hour at the viewpoint for sunset and hopefully some volcanic action … the walk coming down is in the dark with head torches … got back to hotel at 1130pm, you do need to be fit and prepared for a fast pace both ways. You need to take 1.5 litres of water at least and take a dinner sandwich with you also .”
