“Hotel Metropole, a beautiful 4 star hotel that sits on a hill overlooking the Ligurian Sea and its cerulean waters, is a GREAT FIND. Nestled along the edge of the Italian Riviera, this boutique gem offers old world sophistication with luxury. From the minute we walked in the door, we were with friendliness and enthusiasm. Concierge was 5 star. I loved my stay here, and as a travel agent, I will be recommending this hotel for my Santa Margherita bookings. It's a great home base for visiting Cinque Terre and Portofino, and it's a 2 minute walk to the train station. The town center is a 5 minute walk. The spa treatments are 5 star. Do not miss Blue Santa Restaurant when visiting and Trattoria Pescatori (old world charm). The pesto in this area is OUTSTANDING! **If mattresses are too firm, ask for mattress topper and extras pillows. The front desk is very accommodating.”
