“The deluxe apartment was exceptionally comfortable, quiet, spotlessly clean, modern, well equipped with plenty of outside space and seating. The pool area is lovely with great pool, gardens and very well maintained. In June it was quiet and sunbeds were always available. The accommodation is of a high standard and the owners were so welcoming, charming and helpful. The area has fantastic shallow, clear beaches a 15 minute drive away and interesting historic towns - Gallipoli and Nardo both within 20 minute drive. Lecce and Otranto about 1 hour drive. The local village, S. Catharina is about 10 mins by car with good seaside restaurants, a tiny beach & no supermarket. There is a beach club built over the rocks. We did walk it one night but it was about 30 mins, uphill on the return and no pavements. We also cycled it one night but again a little unsafe in the dark so drove from then on. A car is necessary. Large supermarket 10 mins away on the outskirts of Nardo. Nothing - the area, the beaches, and lovely staff at Cava Li Santi all made for a perfect holiday.”
