“All the staff were kind and helpful. The hotel is fortunate to have such good staff. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice and the area was kept clean. The room was clean and had a nice terrace. I very much appreciate being able to store my luggage before check in. That was very helpful. It was a good location and plenty of good restaurants and shops around. It is about a 20 walk to the Cathedral. The air conditioning was bad. The units were incredibly loud, it was like having a blender on high speed all night and that was on the low fan. I was told there was nothing that could be done about it, all the rooms were like that ~ it was the system. They did send a technician but there was no improvement, he did all he could. The morning I left, the air-conditioning was not working in the reception and breakfast areas. The air conditioning in the hotel needs to be updated. The reception and breakfast area are below street level, there is not a great deal of natural light which makes it rather depressing. Bringing your luggage down and up the ramp could prove a little difficult if you are not travelling light.”
