“There is no doubt at all that the position of this hotel is wonderful. Situated right on the lake with a 15 minute level walk into the centre of town. It has a lovely swimming pool, although it’s not heated. Our room was spacious clean had a lovely balcony and fabulous views. I booked this hotel as a special treat for my husband’s birthday and our wedding anniversary as it was 4*. It did not feel like a 4* hotel to us and we travel a lot. The hotel itself seemed very tired with lots of plastic and artificial plants all over the place. Although our room was comfortable, the cheap plastic fittings in the bathroom and bathroom mugs with stains in the bottom were very unpleasant as was the black mould between shower tiles and floor tiles and a grubby shower curtain. There was a kettle in the room with mugs and spoons but no tea or coffee which was bizarre! The swimming pool was beautifully clean, but it was literally beside a very busy, noisy main road so it was not a relaxing place to spend any time at all.”
