“The breakfast was very good. Lots of choice to be had to suit everyone. As always in Italy (a nation of coffee drinkers!) they don't always have tea on hand. You have to request this when you arrive at the restaurant. However, the staff are very helpful and will bring you some teabags on request. My bedroom was facing towards the castle and the bay which gave me a lovely view from my balcony. I enjoyed sitting out there. On my second night there was a firework display and that was lovely to watch from my balcony. The room was a good size with a double bed and a large bathroom. The shower unit, for such a large bathroom, was small and a bit tight but otherwise it worked fine. The hotel is a 15-20 minute walk from the port, mainly flat with a bit of an incline. It is easy to walk to and from the hotel and the area felt very safe. The beach is near the port and the town centre and the castle is also a 15 minute walk away from the hotel. These seem to be the best areas to eat with good restaurants. I ventured to the restaurant for dinner on the first night and it seemed chaotic. It looked like it was buffet style and it was a complete free for all. The restaurant opens for dinner at 8pm so everyone who wants to eat at the hotel are waiting to rush to eat. I went to the bar area instead and ate there. The bar area advertised that they did pizza during the day but not in the evening. It would have been great if they extended their menu to pizza in the evening too for those who do not wish to eat in the restaurant but would like to stay at the hotel for food.”
