“I spent one night at Hotel Airone on a business trip to Italy 🇮🇹. The location, close to one of the city's main access but not far from the centre, was very convenient and the place was quiet. The private garage was a nice feature. My room was comfortable with a large bed, a desk, a closet, a fixed rack luggage, a flat screen TV and a minibar. Although the room was of a decent size the bathroom was disproportionately larger. It was equipped with a bidet (we are in Italy 😀), a tub shower and a hair dryer. Clearly, no real effort had been made on the decoration. Standard and a bit outdated hotel furniture in the rooms and in the common areas and beige / brownish colours for the carpets and the paint of the walls. I noted some signs of wear in my room highlighting the need for a refresher. I tried to access the spa / pool area on the fourth floor but it was closed early in the morning (8:00 am), which was unpleasant. The breakfast was served in a relatively dark room on the ground floor and was clearly disappointing. No egg station, no fresh fruit juice, very little fruits and overall a lack of options although the cakes and the croissants were good. The check-in and the check-out processes were fast and efficient. It is somehow vain to expect too much from standard business hotels which Hotel Airone is but I will nevertheless try to look for another option in Grosseto.”
