“We made a reservation and paid for our stay months in advance. We emailed a week prior to our trip to confirm our stay which we received confirmation for. Upon arrival we were told they had overbooked and they did not have a room for us. A cab was provided to the hotel that they booked us in for and we were sent to the wrong hotel! The staff indicated that he had no idea what we were talking about. We walked a mile with our luggage to the correct hotel which was unacceptable-- dirty, dingy, and outdated. We had to fight with the hotel to get a refund and found our own accommodations. A very unfortunate and negative experience for our first time in Florence, Italy.”
