“The hotel is absolutely beautiful. Other reviews have said that the decor is tired looking but I disagree: it is decorated in an authentic, timeless Italian style. The gardens and grounds are immaculate, the pool area is spotless. The breakfast is wonderful, and the hotel restaurant has a new menu every day. They were able to accommodate my mother’s allergy (gluten) and the staff were so kind, patient and helpful. The direct access to the beach is fantastic, although guests should note that use of the sun loungers is an extra charge (10-25 euros per bed depending on how close you want to be to the sea) You need a car for this hotel if you want to explore the area. Taxi’s are extremely expensive (€50 per ride minimum, basically) You can technically walk to the nearest supermarket, pharmacy and into Porto Cervo, but there is not foot path all the way and the road feels unsafe at night. We will know for next time. The balconies of the rooms mean that if you have loud neighbours, it can be kind of annoying and difficult to get to sleep.”
