“Staff were reasonably good. location suited our needs. Whilst we were only there as a stopover we did specifically choose the hotel due to the photos and the welcoming looking pool. On arrival we were told we could not use or even sit by the pool as they had a wedding on, we managed to negotiate sitting by the pool but a little awkward. The wedding was in full swing shortly after we were allowed into our rooms meaning 0% chance of a siesta as the drumming reached fever pitch, not the wedding party's fault but perhaps the hotel should consider not taking external bookings at events such as this. Bathrooms were filthy, staff were reasonably friendly but overall never the 5* hotel it claims and suspect a lot of the previous reviews are either paid for or friends /relatives of the owner.”
