“The room was spotlessly clean, loved the bed-linen and sea-view. The bathroom facilities, also spotless, and lovely toiletries and towels. The breakfast was tasty but the decor and 80s vibe are a reflection of the overall need for capital expenditure. Would we go back? Yes, absolutely. The property needs a bar and restaurant refurbishment; the decor is outdated. We spoke to the hotelier (lovely man) who was honest about the fact it was a family hotel in a resort that enjoys a seasonal surge but is quieter out of season. It was what we expected and we understand that anything related to hospitality can be very challenging. The location, we loved, so convenient to the beach for an early morning stroll and also near the famous 360 bus stop to Waterford City.”
