“We opted for three nights here after 2 nights at a 5-star in old town Yogyakarta and were delighted the contrast. This was quiet and more personable. The "in-village" experience was pleasant, never obtrusive. Security and comfort were good. Though much was written in other reviews about the noise from the mosques nearby, they did not bother us at all - it was actually a nice sampling of one part of life for most Indonesians and not disturbing of our rest. The restaurant's range of food choices and portion sizes were good. There was a consistent challenge of having us receive our entrees within a minute or two of each other but in exchange the dishes were well presented and fresh. The pool was nice for refreshing at the end of the day. The scattered communal seating areas were nice for reading. A fine experience and delightfully non-commercial in style.”
