“Rua Beach was fantastic value for money. We stayed 3 nights- family of 4. Beautiful location on the beach- great to meet locals in the afternoon and play a game of soccer on the beach. The food in the restaurant for lunch and dinner was delicious - especially the curry and the pizza. The bungalows were simple, but comfortable and kept clean. Horses on the beach were a treat! We were asked to leave an honest review whilst we stayed, so I genuinely hope this is received in the manner in which it is intended- to provide honest feedback with the purpose of only improving for future travellers and ensuring the sustainability of the resort. 1. The area around the pool and the stone area behind the restaurant needs a good clean with a pressure hose. It is slippery in the wet and makes the resort look tired. Scrub it clean and it will look amazing! The stone steps into the bungalows were also VERY slippery. 2. Install some fans in the restaurant area. Will keep bugs away and also cool it on still nights. 3. Provide some information about local spots to visit. Have an information booklet with prices of guides and cars. 4. Don't charge extra for guests to use a canoe/kayak. They are already old looking and 150 000 per hour was ridiculous. 5. You need stubby coolers! You cant have a cold Bintang without a cooler! 6. The breakfast needs addressing. Whilst the lunch and dinner menu were great, the breakfast was very overpriced and a bit ordinary. I write this with absolute respect for the staff - they just need to be guided! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would be happy to return. If I was lucky enough to own a property in Indonesia I would welcome and value feedback from guests so sincerely hope this is well received.”
