“The Kelapa Retreat is a little slice of heaven, it’s in a really peaceful location on the beach of black volcanic sand. The beach is clean and the water was warm. The sunsets are amazing! We had the residence and it really was sublime, perfect for a family or two couples as the bedrooms are seperate, it has its own infinity pool and roof top terrace, it’s super luxurious. The outdoor showers were brilliant. The staff are gorgeous, the waiter even pushed our son on the swing while we’d had our breakfast. Just a few things to note, nothing to effect your stay to much, the locations of the toilets is a little bizarre, right behind the bedroom and in an open bathroom, not super private, and all the doors have seperate keys, which could get a bit frustrating. It’s very peaceful so probably best if you have your own scooter or car, we had a car so I’m not sure how reliable transport is. Even though I asked for gluten free for 3 guests and this was mentioned at check in by staff, the kitchen obviously had not been advised and options were very limited.”
