“The front desk staff are nice and friendly, but the property manager is awful. JUST DON'T DO IT. So many better options for similar price - L Good Mushroom Bay is great. The accommodation at Cempaka is very run down - broken, old or damaged furniture in the rooms and by the pool. The rooms are musty, no fridges, no ceiling fans, bathrooms are not cleaned properly. The location is not central and it is a bit of a walk to restaurants and the beach (this would be a challenge at night, and the road in is pretty sketchy by bike) - with no other guests at the property it was pretty isolated. This wouldn't be as big of an issue if the actual accommodation was maintained and it was enjoyable to stay there, however it needs a serious do-up considering the price they are charging without any genius discount or deal. Honestly, I couldn't recommend this property less - when we spoke to the property manager about the issues, including the wifi being down, she couldn't care less and refused to rectify any of the issues, with Booking.com needing to intervene. Anyway, if you read this far, hopefully you're convinced to spend your money elsewhere. This will not be the island trip you're after, I assure you!”
