“Rooms were very nice, as pictured on website We were the only guests, so experienced only minimal caretaker staff that did the best they could. The cleaner was also the cook... We had to use Google translate to communicate with staff as there was not any reception staff around. We didnt use the pool as it was cloudy and may have only been turned on before we arrived. We had to ask to have the lights to be turned on at night so we could see our way across the pond entrance. Breakfast was a joke. I understand being only guest that you shouldnt expect the buffet, but a placemat, knives and forks on the table amd maybe some salt and pepper would be nice. The place promotes a restaurant, but there is no restaurant... We went during June, which we understood to be a busier time in Bali. Maybe Gili busy times are different. I would expect the same standard of service between busy and quiet times though. I guess, if they take our money, they should provide the service.”
