“Hotel lvka is a lovely hotel. It is family owned, and as such on the smaller side, which we find attractive, because things are generally quieter, more relaxed, and personal. No large crowds in the dining room or at reception. The staff goes above and beyond to help you and make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Our room and the en-suite were spacious, comfortable, and clean. The lounge is a relaxing space to enjoy a drink from the bar. The breakfast buffet is excellent, and so is the dinner buffet (25 Euros). They also offer a good and fairly priced selection of a la carte items. One thing to be mindful of is accessibility to the nearest bus stops to/from Old Town Dubrovnik. To catch the bus to Old Town Dubrovnik, the bus stop is an uncomplicated 5-minute walk away with a slight uphill grade. Returning from Old Town Dubrovnik, the bus stop is about a 10+ minute walk away, depending on your mobility, with a couple intersections to be negotiate and, again, with an uphill grade the entire way to the hotel. For the return trip from the Pile Gate at the Old Town, be prepared to wait at the bus stop for a bit, as busses fill up quickly and you might have to wait for the next one. This is especially so during peak hours, even at the end of October, which officially is the shoulder season. Other than that, there is nothing that will keep you from enjoying your stay at Hotel Ivka.”
