“The hotel was ablsolutely beautiful and was located a short, uphill walk from the ferry port. This provided us with a bit more privacy and less noise than if we had stayed closer to the city center. There was also a small swimming platform less than a 5 minute walk away from the hotel which we visted almost every day. It was a very popular spot but we could always find a place to put our towels and bags. Breakfast was located on the rooftop and a simple menu was included with the stay with add on options available for a fee. The base breakfast was delicous and provided us with plenty of food. The staff at Syrou Melathron was very kind and accomidating and all spoke English. Of note, they allowed us to check out an hour later than normal so we had to spend less time waiting at the port for our ferry. We appreciated this very much! The room we stayed in had a gorgeous ocean view and the bed and linens we extremely comfortable. There was a working AC in the room, though we opted for keeping our balcony doors open when we were in the room to allow the breeze coming off the water to cool us down. The bathroom was large with plenty of counter space and the shower was spacious with excellent water pressure and temperature. Every area of the hotel was clean and comfortable. The only thing that would have made our stay just a bit better would be if there had been more drawer space to store our clothing in the room than just the wardrobe with several hangers. This was not that big of a deal however, we just had to keep our clothing in our suitcases or layed out on the chaise lounge in the room.”
