“I organized a last-minute holiday to my homeland, Greece, and was lucky enough to find a room at Splanzia. It’s an absolute gem of a boutique hotel, made even more special by its wonderful hosts, Yiannis and Nikos. Honestly, I’d love to keep this place a secret, but it’s too good not to share! 😀 The location is perfect—right in the heart of old Chania and just a few minutes’ walk to the beautiful waterfront. My room was spacious, modern, and spotless. The hotel is a beautifully restored traditional house, which adds charm and atmosphere, making it feel like an essential part of the Greek experience. One of my favorite features was the gorgeous enclosed garden where breakfast is served. The breakfast itself is large and very filling—I only managed to enjoy it twice because I had to leave early for day trips. There’s also a wonderful terrace, perfect for enjoying sunsets or simply drying wet swimwear after a day at the beach. Yiannis and Nikos were exceptional hosts, offering tips on local food, nightlife, beaches, and even helping me organize day trips. Crete and Chania are stunning, and Splanzia made my stay even more memorable. Top marks to this incredible hotel—I will definitely be returning!”
