“Tucked in a central location in the downtown of Chania and very close to both the harbour and the KTEL station, Mme Bassia is an affordable accommodation with staff and a owner who are very friendly, speak a good English and do their best to meet the need of their customers. The housing is essential but good - my room was clean and WiFi worked well. There is a common kitchen equipped with tools you can use to prepare a breakfast or a simple meal, and every room has its own fridge. Mme Bassia is a very good option to stay in Chania unless: 1) you or one of your group has troubles going up a staircase - the one giving access to the rooms is very steep; 2) you or one of your group has problems sleeping; Mme Bassia is located in the centre of Chania's downtown and there are many people out and about until midnight - 1 am, even later than that on Fridays and Saturdays, which means that the accommodation is in a noisy area. If none of the above applies to you or one of your companions, then Mme Bassia is an option to be considered as in my opinion it really offers great value for money.”
