Trump Turnberry hotel will also re-open its doors following an extensive upgrade which includes the lavish refurbishment of all hotel bedrooms to the same, world leading standard. This instantly recognisable traditional Edwardian building is set across three levels and first opened in 1906 as the world's first golf resort. It boasts an oceanside setting with far reaching views to the isle of Arran and the Mull of Kintyre. Through the renovation all bedrooms in the hotel building will be refurbished to create a reflection of the indigenous nature of the resort and its rich history. Each features a large, marble bathroom, with many offering exceptional views across the Championship links golf courses across to the Irish Sea. The Ailsa course is the legendary host of four Open Championships in 1977, 1986, 1994, 2009. Currently, it is under construction overseen by renowned architects Mackenzie & Ebert. Trump Turnberry also has the 18 hole Kintyre course, which remains open during this time.
