“The room was a decent size, a bit quirky, I’m used to staying in chain hotels with no character, this was lovely in comparison. Bathroom was tiny and not super practical but nothing bad enough to put me off. My room was right above the pub but the noise didn’t bother me once I had my (usual) earplugs in for the night. The staff was very caring and went out of their way to get me the VAT invoices I needed for work - clearly not a request they usually get. They also added a desk in the room so that I could work. The food was excellent at the pub and the portions quite big. I will stay again if I need to be in the area in future. No air con. I was lucky to stay there the week before temperatures went up. Had the roof window opened at night and slept really well.”
