“Lovely 19th century property , very clean and comfortable , great rooms . Gilly, Gary and staff were very welcoming and go out of their way to make their home feel like your home. Whilst they don’t do evening meals the breakfasts are amazing. You help yourself to cereals, fruit, yogurt, juice etc , and order hot food from the menu. ‘’ specials’’ were omelettes or scrambled egg on muffins with smoked salmon. Endless tea/coffee and toast , and no rush to get you out of the breakfast room. Bedford Lodge is set in beautiful gardens and you are welcome to sit and relax , or even have a takeaway on the table or benches . There is an honesty bar , which is great if you fancy a nightcap. Temperatures this week were very high and unfortunately they had run out of portable fans . Otherwise we had no complaints with the room , which was decorated to a high standard.”
