“Brilliant location for the marina area, the coast, the town centre and numerous bars, restaurants and cafés of all kinds. Very clean, daily housekeeping and fresh towels. Staff are friendly and helpful. Room spacious enough for a budget hotel, although I thought it was a touch overpriced for what it was. Although (outside) temperatures was 30+, the fan provided did the job in the room. However, if heatwaves such as this become regular, really AC is necessary. If we want to be in the area again, and the price is right, we would be happy to stay here. This was an Ibis Budget 3 years ago, I think, and nothing has changed. Wifi is still Ibis (it works well, no problem), and signs still direct you to Ibis parking. No hand towels or glasses/tooth mugs provided. Note that while Google mentions AC and breakfast, neither exists. Hotel replies politely to reviews on Booking, saying that they like to receive feedback but no sign of suggestions being acted upon. Seems like the new owners have done the absolute minimum to keep the hotel running. Over our two night stay, lift up to 3rd floor was out of order, seemingly because of a press button malfunction.”
