“We used the Tontine for a private party for 15 people — pre-dinner drinks in the beautiful lounge followed by dinner in the stunning Adam Room — and it was simply a brilliant night from start to finish. The hotel itself is gorgeous. The lounge, with its velvet armchairs, parquet floors and beautiful interiors, set the perfect tone for the evening, and The Adam Room is a truly special dining space — high ceilings, arched windows, chandeliers. It has real character and made the occasion feel properly special. But what really made the night was the staff. Laura handled all the planning beforehand and was an absolute pleasure to deal with — clear, helpful, proactive communication throughout, and nothing was ever too much trouble. On the night itself, Joe managed everything brilliantly, supported by Ava and the rest of the team. They were warm, professional, attentive and genuinely seemed to want everyone to have a wonderful time. They absolutely delivered on that. Food and drinks were excellent throughout. We couldn't have asked for more. If you're planning a private event in Peebles, look no further. The Tontine is a gem of a venue run by a genuinely exceptional team. Highly recommended.”
