“I had managed to book the wrong night when we arrived. Sat to Sun rather than Fri to Sat. Fortunately the staff managed to find a room of the equivalent standard as the booking. A lesson to me to be more careful in the future. We ate in the restaurant, the food and in particular the service was excellent. I can't praise the restaurant staff highly enough, it made for a very pleasant evening. Pre dinner at 6:45 there was such a queue for drinks at the bar. After waiting for more than 15 minutes we went through to dinner without getting anything. The hotel should really consider putting on more bar staff at busy times. Otherwise there was no aircon in the room we had. Not sure if that applies to the whole hotel or just the circumstances of our rearranged booking. The rom was very hot and difficult to get a breeze though as some windows didn't open.”
