“It met our basic needs - a safe place to stay, quiet, 2 twin beds, parking, hot showers. It was fine. A place to come back to and sleep. The location was not optimal. Busy road and walking to a town was not possible. The scrambled eggs were microwaved and lodge was fairly rigid about deviating from the precise items on the menu. For example you could get a full Scottish breakfast and not eat and thus, waste some of the food you didn’t want but you couldn’t get porridge and ask for some bacon, which would have been part of a much larger breakfast that you could get. It just didn’t make sense. But beds were comfortable. It was quiet. It met our needs.”
