“A really lovely property, tucked away up a hill, amongst the trees away from the town. Very quiet and peaceful with fantastic views across the moorland and town below. The grounds are very nice and the children enjoyed exploring and playing on the fallen down tree in the garden. Inside we wanted for nothing, equipped kitchen, toiletries in the bathroom, bed linen and towels, comfy beds and cosy lounge and dining area. We stayed during a very cold snap, all the heaters worked well and were never cold. Shelia was on hand anytime should we have had any problems and was very helpful and friendly. Oakhampton town was a 5 minute drive away and Dartmoor roughly 15-20 minutes depending on what area you want to get to. We had a great time here and would definitely come back. There is a water filter under the kitchen sink, which filters when taps are running. It didn’t bother us in the slightest but if you’re not used to them you might wonder what it is.”
