    Guests who stayed here loved

“The cottages were absolutely lovely, in an incredibly beautiful location in the Dee Valley not far from Llangollen and just off of the A5 main road towards Corwen, Bala, Betws y Coed, Snowdonia, and the coast for those wishing to travel deeper into Wales from here. The cottages themselves were cosy, well kept, stocked up, beyond pretty, and had both a log fireplace and a central heating/cooling system that you could schedule to warm/cool the house for your return. We stayed in the Swallow cottage which had two bedrooms, one for up to two guests and another main room with a huge window with a view, sweeping curtains and a extra large bed. There was extra bedding, ironing and drying facilities, vacuum cleaner and cleaning equipment, as well as a washing machine, dishwasher, etc that would be needed for longer stays if needed. If something was missing or you needed anything both Katharine and Simon, the owners and hosts, lived on the same estate and were very welcoming, hospitable and incredible hosts. My only regret was not getting to talk more with them. The cottages are perfect for those who wish to have a getaway hideout away from the noise of everything and relax at the homes for a few weeks or a weekend, or for those who want to go out and explore the surrounding area. For those who are looking at exploring and getting out, whether adults or family, Katharine and Simon have already done a lot of the hard work for you. When you enter on the coffee table is a binder full of information that you may need, everything from the looking after the cottage to dining out and going out. There was walk, local businesses, nearby pubs and restaurants etc, all well described and written out as clear guided as possible. If none of these activities interest you then there is also a basket full of leaflets of great activities. I felt a need to mention as I was overly impressed with the extra effort. Would book again! I don't believe I can really mention anything negative really. I would give advice for anyone staying in the guest rooms to check if the radiator is on before you go to bed as it can get really cold in there at night. Found that out the hard way, but once on there is no issues with heating. And for those who don't plan on using their own transport, the bus stop is a bit of a walk away(20 mins west) and the signal for mobile networks can be a bit poor if calling a taxi office.”
