“We didn't arrive at the Hopetoun Arms under the best circumstances – our campervan had broken down and Andrew and I were tired, stressed and wondering what to do next. From the moment Rachel, Rabbie and Leah stepped in to help, we were treated with such kindness and generosity. They picked us up, offered to drive us back to the service station and genuinely cared about making a difficult situation easier for us. What was supposed to be an emergency overnight stop became one of the most memorable parts of our trip. The hotel is full of character, the views are spectacular, our room was comfortable and welcoming, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. To add to the adventure, the van broke down again the following day, despite supposedly being fixed! Looking back, what could have been a miserable experience was made so much better because of the warmth and hospitality we received here. Thank you, Rachel, Rabbie and Leah, for going above and beyond. We hope to return one day under much less stressful circumstances and actually enjoy the area properly. Naomi & Andrew”
