“I stayed at the Best Western Angel Hotel in Chippingham on the 27th of June for one night. Upon arrival, a staff member was helpful in giving us initial directions, but her instructions were a bit confusing, and she didn’t smile much, which made it awkward to ask for clarification. After parking, we had to wheel our suitcases about 20-30 yards through the garden area to reception and once inside, there were a couple of steps, so we had to lift them then all the way back then to our room. The room was on the ground floor and, while okay, it was quite dated. The windows could open wide with no safety locks, so we felt a bit unsafe. There was no air conditioning, just a fan which made a clicking noise when it turned, so at night we had to keep the fan locked on still (no rotating) it was a very hot day. In the morning, after I showered, my cousin was mid-shower when the water pressure dropped completely—she couldn’t rinse out her conditioner. Overall, it was a bit of a letdown, especially given the heat and basic safety expectations.”
