“We booked our accommodation quite late and were delighted to find this hidden gem. The location was perfect, right beside the river, and our room had beautiful river views. Free on-site parking was available. The room was spacious with a comfortable king-size bed, and it was just a short walk to the main part of town, where there was an excellent selection of restaurants and bars. Breakfast was good, with a continental selection including fruit, yoghurt, bread and spreads, as well as a hot breakfast option that was freshly cooked and served hot. The only downsides were that there was no lift, so carrying luggage up three flights of stairs was a challenge. We did get help on our arrival. Our room was on the top floor and had an attic-style layout with sloping ceilings, so we had to be careful not to bump our heads. The bathroom had the same issue, making it impossible to stand upright while showering. The room would also become quite warm in hot weather, although we found a fan, which helped make it more comfortable.”
