“Dilapidated "For Sale" sign outside was indicative of the general state. Friendly receptionist showed us to room which was reasonable. Fridge missing. TV produced only "No signal" and receptionist could not make it work so spent an hour sorting another room to which we moved. This had the promised fridge and working TV. Badly stained furniture (photo) and traces of mould on shower curtain. Blocked bath/shower drain very slow to clear. Actual shower worked excellently, good flow and stable temperature - best thing about the place! Towels and bedding appeared clean. Bar deserted, real ale not available. Restaurant deserted, looked abandoned and although a menu was in evidence it is unclear whether the kitchen was working. Fortunately great food and drink were available at other establishments within easy walking distance in Forest Row.. Exterior all in need of a proper clean. All in all a poor choice based on website, will not be returning.”
