“Genuinely one of the worst hotels I stayed in all year. I stay away from work once or twice a week and I will have to stay here again. Hotel looks like it hasn’t had any sort of maintenance or interior upgrades since the early 2000s. I had to wait five minutes at check-in even though I was ringing the bell, finally I moved through to the restaurant/bar where a lady came out to check me in and that was the last time I saw other person in that hotel all evening. I went out for dinner because it didn’t look like anyone was home. All of the lights were off constantly, until you walked past them. Corridors and room smelled funny, not completely awful but just not right. The room amenities were awful, Kettle was dirty, cobwebs in the corner, blinds were broken, chairs had stains on them, bed was uncomfortable and all of the bedding just felt extremely cheap. The bathroom and shower was also quite a low standard, with a lot of line scale and mould, extremely cheap toilet seat which felt flimsy and sharp. Couldn’t even walk to my car without brushing through a bush. Personally, would’ve rather slept in my car or literally anywhere else. No one to even have a word with in the morning as I checked out at 9 am and the barriers were down on Reception. Would not recommend!”
