“The view was amazing, the house was very well stocked and comfortable. I liked the welcome hamper. This was what caused me to score the way I did. The location is totally unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. This needs to be made obvious in the property description. Booking through Booking .com, this was only mentioned at the bottom of the Sykes cottage details, which unfortunately did not read all of the information, and relied on the information on Booking.com. After reading reviews I realized the house would be totally unsuitable for me as I have severe arthritis. I contacted both Sykes cottages and Booking. com to ask for a refund, which was declined. I could not afford to loose all of the money so went. My family helped me in to the house, but I could not come and go as I would have wanted, so instead just stayed put. I feel VERY strongly that it needs to be stated more clearly that the property is not suitable with anyone with mobility issues, or indeed any problems with vertigo, the road is very steep indeed Also the 50+ steps up to the house means you have to be fit to carry luggage and provisions up to the house.”
