“Absolutely beautiful, cosy and comfortable house. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back. Great location both in Calne and for reaching the many sights of Wiltshire. Nice big bedroom and kids enjoyed their upstairs room. Very kind host who made us feel welcome with fresh flowers in the house, milk and butter in the fridge and a lovely pack of biscuits. House has a well-equipped kitchen with all you need. Lovely courtyard. Nice with driveway to park. It is narrow but we managed fine, and it is perfectly possible to reverse on to main road - cars will stop and let you out. Note that to use the oven you need to set the timer, or it won't heat! Not much, we really were very pleased. It could have been a bith cleaner. Cutlery drawer, oven and kitchen cupboard were not clean, and the house was a bit dusty. The house is located right on the main road, so there is noise from traffic. It did not bother us, but had we needed to have the windows open, it would have been quite noisy. Nice that there are board games, but they are all missing lots of bits. Bring slippers as, in a few places on the stairs, you can feel sharp bits through the carpet.”
