“A great little pub for an overnight stop over. Easy and friendly check in. Four poster bed in a room with views to the countryside. Yes, it's by a busy road, but it was quiet overnight. Breakfast is a quick help yourself to a few pits & pieces at the bottom of the stairs to take to your room, which had a small table. The room was a good size, old, but set up with care and attention; a pretty throw on the bed, pretty side table with lamps, kettle with teas/coffee biscuits and mugs with spoons. Hairdryer in a pretty bag on the back of the door. All a lovely touch. You can hear other guests' doors when they go in and out - pick up some breakfast. The bathroom is of an age, but it worked, so no complaints and you even get some toiletries. Nothing I didn't like.”
