“On arrival we were greeted well and efficiently, however there was not really enough staff to cover everything. Staff were friendly and very helpful . I booked for three nights and expected three full English breakfasts. Unfortunately upon arrival we were informed that there was no chef for Saturday morning while this was disappointing we were assured all would be ok for Sunday and Monday morning . On Sunday there was a full English which was good, however Monday morning chef failed to turn up so it was tea and toast . This was not what I had paid for . The hotel despite been clean and tidy is very tired and needs a considerable sum spending on it to justify its three star rating . While the bedroom was spacious and clean the bathroom was a different matter . Ceiling cracked above the wash basin, shaving light not working , radiator not working . The window was impossible to open as the cords on the sash were snapped and looked like they had been for years . All in all a disappointing stay , despite the friendly and helpful staff .”
