“A cool reception when we arrived, but the hotel was clean. The pool and pool area are kept clean and the breakfasts are very good indeed, with plenty of choice. The hotel demanded 200€ deposit in case of damage, which they said would be refunded when we left and the room had been checked. I paid this with my UK debit card. The money was debited straight away. After two days I had still not received the money back, so I rang the hotel, who told me that because it was a UK card, I would have to wait a month. I stayed polite but was really put out with their pathetic excuses, and this left a very sour taste in my mouth. Having contacted the bank, they told me that I would have the money back within a week, which I did, but beware!”
