“Room was very comfortable but unfortunately (I think there was some confusion because they wanted to upgrade me to a sea view) on the first floor with a balcony exposed to the sun. Clean, modern, air conditioned and great bathroom. There was no fridge/minibar but the coffee machine was good (pods). We ate at the restaurant one night - there wasn't really any choice but the food was very well prepared and it seems all the ingredients came from the farm. A lot of thought and effort went into the cooking. Breakfast was very good value for money and we loved that the eggs were fresh from the chicken and the spirulina yoghurt! The property itself is huge and if we had more time and it wasn't so hot we would have taken them up on their offer of a tour of the farm and vineyards. Flowers and trees and wildlife everywhere. Staff were lovely and friendly. Very handy from St Malo ferry (about 2.5 hour drive on good roads, no tolls). Good selection of wine (a few different muscadets - all superb - although they also make their own wine at the property. Seems to be quite accessible, with upper floors accessed by elevators, but walking distance between rooms and reception/restaurant and parking quite long. The wifi was terrible Signal was constantly weak, both in the room and communal parts, and kept disconnecting. The bar and restaurant are closed on Sunday evening. We had dinner at 1001 Degustations in Le Bernier-en-Retz which is about 10 minutes away by car, but would not have been possible without a designated driver (my wife).”
