“Staff was friendly, polite and professional, the hotel was on a nice little street with a great fruit stand down below where we had the most amazing fresh peaches, and there was a bakery across the street with delicious pastries. On the corner is a supermarket. The room was very clean, with an easy-to-use shower. Because there was a heatwave in Paris, the hotel provided two fans to keep us cool. The breakfast was excellent and consisted of baguette, croissants and other pastries, nice French butter, jams, boiled eggs, fruit tart, a selection of yogurts, cheeses, apple sauce, dried fruits, granola, and many other things. You could order a variety of coffees and teas. Also, in the lobby of the hotel there was a little seating area and a coffee/tea maker with to-go cups. The key to the room was of a type that I had never used before and it took a little practice to get the hang of it. Not something to dislike, but it was certainly quirky. This hotel is a bit old-fashioned, but that is what makes it charming. Everything is well thought out and well-maintained. I was a bit unimpressed with the quality of the food at the neighborhood restaurants, but maybe I just did not know where to go or what to order.”
