“The noisiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. We arrived at quarter to 9 pm only to find the restaurant below affiliated to the hotel closed at 9pm and while they did serve us a couple of beers grudgingly we were told the kitchen had closed at 2055 hrs. Not even an offer of some bar food or snack. Then at around 430-am the noise started, guys making deliveries up the cobble stones using trolleys and little delivery vans which beep. We might as well have stayed right next to a motorway. The guys doing the deliveries constantly spoke loudly and the trolleys on the cobbled streets continuously going up and down rattled and pounded meaning we were awake from 5am onwards. If you are looking for a peaceful night’s sleep you can completely forget this hotel and location. Given what we paid you’d expect far better. As for everything closing down at 9pm, you’d be far better staying off in the adjacent town. The noise though, the clattering is still resounding in my ears as I type this review.”
