“The Hideaway is tired and needs an injection of funds and a complete renovation. The staff are fabulous working hard friendly and doing their best with broken or old facilities. The food was good, the entertainment was basic but fun. Gardens are lovely. The view and the beach are terrific. The area is quiet so nothing walking distance in alternative restaurants. Beds were comfortable. Even the paths need to be fixed before someone has a big fall. Happy hour was great fun with interesting cocktails and loud bar trivia. Went to Sunday church in a local village as an activity offered. We will never forget the singing by Fijians who naturally sing harmonies in 2 to 4 parts. The music was uplifting and joyous. A lovely experience. The bathrooms in the rooms and public area need retiling and new fixtures. The pool filter system is not functioning to full standard. The boys clean and put in chemicals and do their best to maintain.”
