“We recently stayed at Aparthotel Tropic Garden for one week in June as a family and overall would rate our stay 7/10. The hotel is in a great location, just a short five-minute walk from Santa Eulalia harbour and within easy walking distance of the beach. Santa Eulalia itself is a lovely resort – clean, relaxed and with a fantastic selection of restaurants, many of which offer much better food than the hotel for a similar price. We stayed in a Suite with Side Sea View. The apartment was a reasonable size, with two single beds pushed together and a sofa bed for the children. The balcony was spacious, although unfortunately we didn’t use it as much as we would have liked due to a noticeable sewer smell outside. The rooms are functional but quite dated and would benefit from refurbishment, particularly the bathrooms. We booked bed and breakfast. Breakfast was one of the better aspects of the hotel, with a good variety of hot and cold options available each morning. We also purchased the 3-for-2 evening meal package offered at check-in and ate in the hotel restaurant several times. The evening buffet was fairly standard all-inclusive fare – adequate but nothing special. The children’s section was particularly disappointing and offered limited choice. Lunch by the pool was similarly average and quite expensive for what was provided. One area that could definitely be improved is the restaurant service. Tables were cleared quickly but often not reset, meaning we regularly had to find our own cutlery and napkins. We also had an unpleasant experience on one evening when, despite the restaurant remaining open until 9:30pm, my wife was refused a glass of (self-service) wine at around 9:10pm and was told to purchase drinks from the bar instead. This felt unnecessary and left a poor impression. The pool area was clean, spacious and generally very pleasant.
