“Currently staying at Fergus club Palmanova park with a three year old and 4 month old. The hotel is lovely and the staff are always very friendly, really can't fault the effort they all make of the children. Location wise there is a little walk to get to the shops and bars however this didn't bother us as it was ideal to push the pram down the few times we went down. The atmosphere at the hotel is lovely and the entertainment is always varied so this is nice. Only thing to note her for families is that Pongus the animation mascot only appeared once so far in 6 days so don't set your children up that he's doing mini disco or you will have a disappointed little one like we did the first few nights🤣. Other than that the mini disco was always fun. The food in the restaurant is always fresh and I liked the fact it was always some fresh meat we have pork chops, fajitas and steak just to name a few meals always decent and we enjoyed this. The help yourself drinks are handy as it's quicker but would be nice to have a glass in the evenings rather than plastic glasses all day and night but not the end of the world. Housekeeping always changed our towels and also changed the bedding a few times as the baby had a few accidents we really appreciated that! The main thing that did annoy us was the pool area the children's pool doesn't open until 11 o clock so this is very hard trying to keep them busy until this time. Maybe if there was a park or something on site this would help? Also as well as the opening times there is a rule where you cannot reserve beds for longer than 40 minutes or towels are removed. This only seems to be policed between 6-9 in the morning. Now this isn't ideal as you shouldn't have to get up to "reserve" beds however this does happen everywhere and the main reason for us wanting to be close to the pool is whoever is in the pool with the three year old you want to still be close if needed for the baby. Now as they do remove towels this seemed to result in people coming down very early and staying on the beds to ensure they could keep them which again is not ideal with young children as they are still asleep. I came down around 8 most mornings and sometimes ended up very far from the pool and after about 9 your lucky to get a bed. Maybe more beds are needed or actually only allow people to get them from a decent time to make this fair? Although the beds and opening time was annoying it did not affect the holiday we just adapted and had a fabulous time. Anyone looking for a relaxed break with decent food entertainment and just a nice vibe I would definitely recommend this hotel.”
