“Fantastic breakfast and right next to the beach. The hotel itself is beautiful and well-maintained. It's also not too far to walk into the old town. The bed was very comfortable. The housekeepers were fantastic, and they have a good concierge as well. The room itself was OK, but for that price point I expected something better. It was also my birthday - even in 3 star hotels, they make an effort, but here? They sent up a pastry that I couldn't eat (lactose, and I had mentioned this before) to our room while we weren't there. Even the replacement one was just left there in our room for hours as we were out in the city, and hence not edible when we got back. Reception staff were also unhelpful when a family with a baby moved in next door and made our night totally unbearable because of the poor isolation; they offered to downgrade us to a smaller, worse room - or pay extra for an upgrade (and not a small extra, we are talking 300+ euros more for one night!). They clearly don't care about their guests - only about money. I mentioned at the start of our stay we would be coming back to Malaga in June for 2 weeks, but I guess this was of no interest to them to make any kind of effort to improve our stay. This kind of experience is not what I expect when I pay several hundreds per night. Unacceptable, and that's why we will not stay here again.”
