“Seems fairly new Several issues which do not match the quality or service of a Marriott hotel. I’ve shared this email with the hotel manager, who never came back go me: 1. Severe Noise Disruption and Total Absence of Management Control. I’m staying on floor 13, you have a party going on floor 14th. Its 11:40pm on Sunday and music is still blasting through my room, and I’m unable to sleep. Given the phone in my room doesn’t work (another issue but feels minor at this point in comparison), I had to physically walk down to the ground floor reception three separate times to complain about deafening music and bass bleeding into my room. On all three occasions, the front desk staff failed to resolve the issue, falsely claiming they had handled it. At 11:30 PM, faced with zero action from reception, I went up to the 14th floor myself. I was first intercepted by the door guy who laughed at me for wearing flip flops, and then was intercepted by a external big security guy who aggressively informed me that "there was nothing he will do," that this was "the hotel's problem," and that the hotel had simply chosen to book the party. He then left for 10 seconds, returned, and lied about the music being turned down. The disruption continues unabated. When I pressed to talk to a hotel representative at the party (the front desk told me to look for “Oriol”), these two individuals told that there was not a single representative or manager from Labtwentytwo stationed on the 14th floor to supervise the external event. The hotel has effectively handed over control of its premises to a private party at the expense of paying guests. In addition, walking through the hotel tonight to address these issues, the breakdown in basic standards was stark: - a clearly intoxicated individual from the event was sleeping on one of the main lobby sofas. - Outside the entrance, another heavily intoxicated attendee was sitting directly inside a large decorative plant pot.”
